A staggering catalogue of factual and grammatical errors here. One of my favourites is that PO Box 1423, Accra, Ghana belongs to the United Nations Development Programme. Another is "Benin City Nigeria" as the address of the depositor on the "Certificate of Deposit". Just how stupid can you be? Benin is a country, right next door to Ghana. It doesn't match the address on the "Change of Ownership Certificate" of course, but it shows that he is reading my replies and is willing to play along to some extent. Good to know.

This is not the consignment I was expecting (and in fact I received word yesterday that that box had been legitimately delayed but was now safely on board the transport ship). I have never heard of Chief Mohammad Alavi and have no idea why I have been named as his next of kin.
Please bear with me for a few more days Mr Smith, I will contact the Royal Trust Finance and Security in Ghana on Monday and see what they can tell me about this box.

It looks like ALL CAPS are for men while all lower case are for boys...

Thank you for that information. So the boy, Shamin Alavin is Dr. Mohamed's next of king (presumably he is to be the next Chief). I can understand that and I also understand the need for an adult, a regent as it were, to hold the inheritance in trust for the boy until he comes of age. That is all very understandable and common practice in most cultures.
What I am struggling with now is why I have been chosen for this trust? Do you have any more details? Does Chief Dr. Alavin have any other surviving relatives that I might be able to question further? Is he some previously unknown distant relative of mine?

Dear Dr Logan,
Forgive me for asking but I do not know many reliable and trustworthy people in your region. I am having a great deal of difficulty with the manager of the hotel where my box was found. The man is heartless and greedy beyond belief and I would like to remove the box, and the boy, from his care. I am hoping that my wife can find a good orphanage that will look after the boy until we can fly out there but unfortunately I do not know of any suitable companies in Logos or Nigeria to collect and store the box while I make preparations to have it flown over here.
Would you happen to know of anyone? I would like the box removed from the hotel as quickly as possible and stored securely for an unknown length of time. I am not worried about the cost, providing they are reliable.
If you can not help, perhaps you have an agent in Nigeria who may be able to help me.
