I won the lottery! Well, no. Not a very successful bait overall, I seemed to be doing all the work, although I do think the WU receipt part was inspired, even if I say so myself! So not a total waste of time. Will be looking for an opportunity to use that (and the form) again.

Attn:-Dr. Steve Forum,
Congratulations from our members of staff. Responsible for the processing of winning prizes in the e-mail lottery program. Your e-mail address attached to a single ticket was found as one of the lucky e-mail addresses that emerged to have won 550,000.00 Euros . It is not a promotion but your email have won you this prize.
The information was passed to us by the LOTTERY COMPANY, to ensure that they are in contact with the rightful owner of the winning e-mail and web-site addresses. We write to explain and clarify the mode and chronologies of the service we render to our clients of lottery claim related issues.
Firstly, our ultimate concern is that our clients get their winning prizes as quickly as it is possible. You are therefore required to fill the Processing Form, and a proof of your identification and return back to this office either as e-mail attachment or via Fax for verification.
Due to mix-up of certain numbers and names, you are required to keep your winning information confidential until your claim has been processed and winning prize remitted to your nominated account. This is part of our security protocols to avoid abuse of the program by some participants.
Be assured that, in line with our principles of efficiency, transparency and customers satisfaction, we handle all verification exercise with the highest level of professionalism and discretion to ensure that our clients receive their prizes within the shortest possible time.
Once again, Congratulations.

Mr Adams,
Thank you for sending me the new file. I don't know what a PDF is, I only have a PC, but perhaps I can buy one with my winnings.
I can open that one, although I have not had time to fully read it yet. We had a sudden and virulent outbreak of acute Chickenpox in the school. At least a third of the student body and a quarter of the staff have been effected. I have only just returned from a 30 hour shift and I must rest. I will address this document as soon as things quieten down a little.
Yours,
Dr. Steve Forum

Mr Adams,
Since my last email to you things have taken a turn for the worse. What I thought was an ordinary, if particularly severe, outbreak of Chickenpox has now been identified as a possibly new mutated strain of Chickenpox that is highly contagious. I contacted the Department of Health yesterday and the school is currently under quarantine while they ascertain the precise nature of the infection.
It goes without saying I hope Mr Adams, that you must keep this very quiet. We are trying very hard to contain the news just as much as the infection itself. Following relatively soon after the recent Swine Flu epidemic scare we do not want to cause unnecessary panic in the media. I hope I can rely on your discretion, as I could be in serious trouble if the authorities find out that I have leaked any of this to you. I may even lose my medical licence - I am sure you understand the seriousness of the situation and my trust in you.
The reason that I have contacted you is to explain that obviously I am unable to leave the premises at this time. I expect that this whole thing will blow over in the next day or so if you could make some excuses to the High Court on my behalf, I will let you know as soon as the quarantine is lifted.
Yours,
Dr. Steve Forum

Mr Adams,
I have to inform you that things are not going well here. There is talk of extending the quarantine to include the local village as well. I have decided to contact a friend of mine to see if he can get to the Western Union office on my behalf.

Hi Cornelius,
How are you? Listen, I have a favour to ask you. You remember that win on the Lottery I told you about? Well they need me to pay for various legal fees and what have you, but I’m all tied up here with Department of Health business. Would it be possible for you to pop into Scunthorpe and send some money for me? It’ll be about £480-£500 (550 Euros). Is that okay? Obviously I’ll give you it straight back and buy you a couple of pints ;-) as soon as I’m finished here.
I needs to be sent through the Western Union from this agent:
THE MONEY SHOP
184 High Street
Scunthorpe,DN15 6EA
Sent to:
NAME : RICHARD MORGAN
STREET : Great Ormond street Amsterdam
COUNTRY : AMSTERDAM, HOLLAND.
AMOUNT : 550 EUROS ONLY.
I CC’d Mr Adams - the Claims Supervisor) if you can let us both know.
Cheers Corn.

Mr Adams,
I am terribly sorry for the misunderstanding. Your last email to me stated, quote "On making the payment you are expected to send to this office the payment Slip given to you by western union for documentation on your file."
I have exchanged several emails with my friend and he has even telephoned The Money Shop and they told him there is no way to get a refund, or even cancel the transfer, without the original slip. It looks like you will have to collect it yourself, or wait for the slip to reach you and then post it back so we can cancel it (hopefully this quarantine business will be all cleared up by then - we have been making progress with a vaccine so it shouldn't be much longer now). Again, I can only apologise for the mix up. Western Union is not something we tend to use in this country (no-one I have spoken to has heard of it). I can understand why now; very awkward system.

Mr Adams,
I got this from my friend (who made the transfer). There may be a way for us to cancel after all. Why they couldn't have mentioned this the first time I'll never know! print this out, fill it in, then scan (as well as your ID) and send directly back to Cornelius to save time (CC me as well though please, so I can keep an eye on the progress).
I have to apologise for the delay, but we've had a worrying day. It seems that the problem wasn't specifically Chickenpox after all, but that it was hiding a form on Man Flu that is potentially worse than Swine and Bird Flu combined! You should hurry with the form Mr Adams if you want to proceed with the cancellation, the Department of Health have confirmed a quarantine of the village within the next 48 hours. Once that is in place Cornelius won't be able to get into town to cancel the transfer.

Mr Adams,
You haven't been in touch with either myself or my friend Cornelius for several days. Have you collected the money from Western Union yet? Do you still want to cancel the transfer?
Please respond, how do we proceed.
Dr. Steve Forum
Decided to call it day there.
